Collect payments the Zenith way
Dedicated account numbers for every customer, settled straight to your Zenith account and reconciled for you.
A number for every customer
Give each customer, invoice or till its own virtual account number. Whoever pays it, you know who paid and what for, without asking them for a reference.
Told the moment money lands
Payments appear as they arrive, and your own systems are notified, so nobody is sitting on a bank statement waiting to match a transfer.
Settled to your account
What you collect is paid out to your own bank account, on a schedule you and your bank agree, with every charge itemised.
How it works
Three steps from registering to being paid.
- 1
Open an account
Register your business and send the documents your bank asks for. Your bank reviews them and switches you on.
- 2
Issue virtual account numbers
Create a number for a customer or an invoice, from the dashboard or from your own software through the API.
- 3
Get paid, and get settled
Your customer transfers from any bank. The payment is matched to them, and the money reaches your account.
Ways to collect
However your customers pay you, the money lands the same way.
Virtual account numbers
Permanent numbers for regular customers, or single-use ones for an invoice that expires the moment it is paid.
Payment links
Share a link. Each payer is shown a virtual account number to transfer to, and you see the payment land against that link.
Counter codes
Staff on a till take payments with a short code and a PIN, without an account on the system or a way to move money.
Questions
- Do my customers need an app?
- No. They transfer to an ordinary account number from whichever bank they already use.
- How do I know who paid?
- The number itself tells you. A number belongs to one customer or one invoice, so a payment to it needs no reference to be matched.
- When do I get the money?
- On the schedule you agree with Zenith Bank: as each payment arrives, or gathered up daily, weekly or monthly.
- Can this work with my own software?
- Yes. There is an API for issuing numbers and reading payments, and your systems can be notified as money lands.
